James Towell’s perfect conversion return typified an outstanding Lions performance with a balance of youth and experience combining well . It was great to see both Jake Smith and Karl Thompson pull the black and white back on and also, we welcomed five students to our ranks .
Whilst Consett were pretty solid upfront they had no answer for our free flowing handling which had both centres Parsons and Bunton pitching in with hat tricks . With plenty of first team experience on display the pack dominated from the start and we were 0 - 49 up before Consett opened their account.
The final score of 15 - 70 was as a fair result given the dominance of the display.
