On Boxing Day after the Rockcliff game, Percy Park RFC will be holding a Yuletide Beer Festival promoting real ales from local breweries. The beers available will be some specially brewed seasonal ales along with some old favourites and there will also be some ciders and wine.

The festival will take place on Thursday 26th, all day Friday 27th and Saturday 28th until its all gone.

To accompany the festival there will be live music and food will also be available.

Admission is free.

Wylam Brewery

Flannel Hammer Extra Stout - ABV 7.5% - Solid, black, powerful… Full bodied and rich with deep warming notes of rum, tobacco and bitter chocolate.

Gold Tankard _ ABV 4% - Made with all gold ingredient. Pale Malt, Golden naked oats, First Gold Hops, with a Willamette hop finish. Fresh clean flavour with a hint of grapefruit citrus from the Willamette. Durham CAMRA Golden Beer of the Year 2010 …amongst many other awards.

Centennial - ABV 4.1% - A very well-balanced golden bitter with a massive citrus aroma. Pine fresh with lemon and pink grapefruit on the palate and an American edge from the Centennial finish.

 

Three Kings Brewery

Belle Saison - ABV 5.7% - A lightly hopped Super Saison with complex flavours developed from a high temp fermentation. 

Marleys Ghost - ABV 4.3% - Red Ale with Dark Crystal malts. Hopped with Bodica & Marynka.

Billy Mill Ale - ABV 4% - Golden Bitter single hopped with first gold hops. Great session ale.


Cullercoats Brewery

Watch House Winter Warmer - ABV 5% - Warming dark English ale, malty with spicy/berry flavours from Bramling Cross hops


Tyne Bank Brewery

Black Cascade 5.2% - Festive black IPA has a wonderful grapefruit flavour with a hint of spice and pine.  An addition of orange and lime zest gives a crisp citrus aroma and the citrus piney flavours are enhanced by the addition of a pine needle tea.  The beer is given a festive kick with a blend of cinammon, ginger and clove spices.

Pumpkin Pale Ale 5.2% -  Pale Ale brewed with pumpkin puree and spices


Out There Brewing Co.

Sofia 4.9% - An easy drinking Munich style wheat beer. Careful observation reveals subtle banana and clove flavours created by Munich yeast.

Dog Dancer - ABV 6.5% - Made with bittersweet apples producing a crisp, clean, mouth-watering style.

Fiery Fox - ABV 6.5% - Smooth and balanced with a fresh, crisp finish.


It is expected that a hundred or more will be attending the Christmas Cap Presentation and Ceilidh on Saturday 22nd December. If you have not yet paid for a ticket you need to do so before the party starts. It is not possible to pay at the door for this event.
