This Saturday the 1st XV make the short journey to Durham City for a Regional 2 North league encounter with (at the moment) the Lions who are scheduled to play Durham seconds. Both games are due to kick off at 2pm. Injuries and unavailability have caused selection headaches and it may be that insufficient numbers mean that the Lions game at Hollow Drift does not take place.

On Sunday, the Panthers entertain close rivals Rockcliff, KO at Preston Avenue is at 2pm.

There is the usual TV sports coverage in the Clubhouse bars including, of course, on Sunday Sunderland vs Newcastle Utd (KO 2pm)

PERCY PARK CHRISTMAS DRAW

Instead of a Christmas Raffle, this year we have a numbers board of 200 numbers from 1 to 200. It is £5 per number and the proceeds will go to the club charities Percy Park Foundation and Youth Trust to help further mini and junior rugby at Percy Park.

The 1stprize will be a Christmas Hamper and 2ndprize is a wine hamper. There will also be other assorted prizes such as bottles of wine or spirit.

The draw will be made as soon as the board is filled and all 200 numbers are sold. Winners will be announced on the club website and social media, and the draw will be made by the Percy Park Management Committee using a random number generator.

The board is behind the 1872 bar at the club however if you wish to subscribe on-line you can transfer money to Percy Park Rugby Football Foundation Ltd, Account number 43724860 Sort code 30-54-66. Numbers purchased on-line will be allocated to the first available number. You can buy as many numbers as you wish. Please put your name and contact phone number as a reference.

Prizes must be collected from the club once the draw is made.

On Saturday, after defeating second placed Keswick last weekend, the 1st XV travel north to take on Morpeth in a Regional 2 North fixture, KO is 2pm.

The Lions scheduled fixture at home to Morpeth has been cancelled. They have however arranged a home fixture against West Hartlepool, KO at Preston Avenue is 2pm.

On Sunday, the unbeaten Colts visit Blaydon, KO 1pm.

ALL SUPPORT FOR OUR TEAMS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

There will be the usual feast of televised sport over the weekend in the Clubhouse bars, including Premier League football and Prem rugby,
