On Sunday last, our unbeaten Colts side travelled to Hartlepool Old Boys to resume their league campaign, winning comprehensively 38-53 with only thirteen players available. The home side, with a full complement of players, led 24-12 early in the match but our lads dug deep, played some superb rugby, to run out well deserved winners.
There was some amazing feedback from the referee post match, the head of the Durham Referees Society. He said that we were a 'joy to referee' and that both sides should take great credit for an excellent game of rugby.
They are indeed a credit to themselves and to the Club and our thanks also go to their management and coaches; well done one and all.
The lads are next in action when they entertain Gosforth on Sunday 15 February followed one week later by Northern at home in the County Plate semi-final.
