PERCY PARK RUGBY FOOTBALL FOUNDATION LTD - Charity No 1164126

PERCY PARK YOUTH TRUST - Charity No 1072059

“TALL OAKS FROM LITTLE ACORNS GROW"

The Percy Park Youth Trust Fund was established on the 1st October 1986 when we became the first rugby club to have such a trust fund.

The vision was to establish:-

A fund that grew every year.

Assist with the cost of coaching qualifications.

                        Ensuring compliance with safeguarding issues.

Allowing young people to attend specialist training sessions and courses.

Offering discrete financial support where necessary to families suffering hardship.

Encouraging and training the senior players of the future

In 1998 The Percy Park Youth Trust gained charitable status that enabled us to apply for gift aid on donations, and also to apply to other charities for funding to further the aims of the Trust. The Youth Trust helped raise funds for the clubhouse and pitch redevelopment completed in 1999.

In 2015 we realised that there were limitations in the charity only being in support of junior and mini rugby and The Percy Park Rugby Football Foundation was formed as a limited company with the wider objects being The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of North Shields by the provision of facilities for playing rugby football”.

Since 2015 the PPRFF and PPYT charities have helped raise funds to refurbish the facilities incorporating an additional 2 changing rooms, a treatment room, installing new posts and has funded the appointment of a Rugby Development Officer to work with local schools.
